Concepted by childbirth educator Theresa Erichsen, RN, BSN, LCCE, FACCE, IBCLC, and designed to present a fetus in a simple, non-threatening manner, this set of nine weighted, pillowlike models represents the average size and weight of a fetus at nine stages of development. The back of each model features information on the developmental stage of the fetus illustrated on the front. Models provide an opportunity for mothers-to-be to visualize the fetus growing within them, highlighting the importance of prenatal care. Models represent weights ranging from 0.4 g to 7 lb. Set of nine models comes with presentation notes with applications for use with teen mothers and adult couples.
