This pamphlet explains what fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS) is and discusses the life-long physical and intellectual disabilities it can cause. Discusses other fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD), including alcohol-related neurodevelopmental disorder (ARND) and alcohol-related birth defects (ARBD). Also covers the potential harms of alcohol and breastfeeding while providing a list of dos and don’ts to help ensure a healthy pregnancy.
